The Background
Newcomers Guide is a free phone directory for English speakers in Israel. From birth to banking, from bills to Bituach Leumi, English speakers trust Newcomers Guide for all the information they need about life in Israel. Way more than just a phonebook, Newcomers Guide includes residential and business directories, gemachim, organizations, maps and updated information guides.
The Goal
Newcomers Guide wanted to create an online directory, which would be searchable, intuitive and adaptable. It would be fully customized, multi functional, and built in a way to allow for future added features and changes.
Even though the phone book holds a prominent place on bookshelves around Israel, Newcomers Guide are always adjusting and improving their service. Going online would mean:

Research and Diagnosis:

CoreWeb analyzed previous years’ marketing strategies and developed an effective, cutting-edge marketing plan. This included interruptive and compelling print ads and effective email campaigns to attract advertisers and promote the new online directory.

CoreWeb developed a step by step plan for creating the online directory which was custom coded including search and filter functionality. The program was built to allow for future changes and added features.

Newcomers Guide’s advertisers would be listed online for free- according to the ad size they purchased in the phonebook. CoreWeb developed different options for business listings, ranging from simple “one-liners” to dynamic premium homepage ads, all corresponding perfectly to the ad options for the phonebook.
